How to cut up LUSH soaps

What are the benefits of cutting up a soap? I hear you say.
Well, when a soap is put into a bathroom, or by the sink, the constant damp air and water that it comes into contact with, means that the soap breaks down, and gradually dissapears. If we think about this logically, that means that a lot of the soap will be wasted. If you put a smaller block of soap into the bathroom, you will use it up quicker, meaning that the water and dampness surrounding the soap has less time to break down, and the smaller surface area means that it absorbs, and attracts less water. So your soaps will last longer!

Now that we have got the sciencey bit over and done with, lets get started on how to cut up our soaps!
So what will you need?
  • A sharp knife
  • A chopping board
  • The soap you want to cut up
  • Some hot water
PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOU ARE UNDER 18 ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU ARE SUPERVISED BY A RESPONSIBLE ADULT WHEN USING A KNIFE.

Warm your knife under a tap of running hot water, or a bowl of hot water. Always be careful around hot water, as it can burn and cause danger.Firstly decide how many pieces you want to cut the soap into. Then make a small cut into your soap, only going about half a cm down into the soap.

Then rock the knife to side to cut through the soap, and viola!

When you have finished cutting the soaps up, you could wrap them in tissue paper, or whatever you think!

Thanks for reading, I hope you found this helpful.

LUSH Snow Globe Soap

Snow globe soap is so beautiful, it reminds me of the ice, and the arctic.
This soap is very citrussy and it smells of lemon and grapefruit, and is very fresh and a nice soap to wake up to in the morning to really get you out of bed. Personally, I love citrussy scents, and simply can't get enough of them. But if you are that kind of person who thinks it smells like cleaning fluids, or just don't like citrus then this soap is definately not for you! This soap doens't just have a hint of citrus, it is quite a strong and overpowering scent, so if you don't like citrus, this soap is like something from your worst nightmare! haha :)

What I also like about this soap, is the white circles in the soap. These are moisturising parts of the soap, so not only do your hands get really nice and clean, with the outer green part of the soap, but they also get moisturised aswell.Which is an added bonus, because I feel that sometimes soap can really dry out your skin, so to have moisturiser in there makes it a kind of 2 in 1 product if you like.

Thanks for reading this post everyone, and please follow my blog if you enjoyed it, and I will continue to write more 100% honest posts.

LUSH Angel's Delight Soap

When I saw this soap instore, I just had to buy it. I went into LUSH to buy some of the christmas limited edition soap(this is one of them.) The girl in LUSH who was showing me the soaps, showed me this one and asked me what I thought that it smelt like. I said I really didn't know, but it smelt familiar. She then went on to tell me, don't you think it smells like 'Jelly Babies' and it does! It smells exactly like jelly babies, it is so sweet and you just want to eat it, because it smells so good. I bought one bar of this originally, but I have nearly run out, so I went out to buy another block in the 50% off the holiday range, that LUSH currently have on. I also bought a few other of the christmas soaps.

This is just amazing, so amazing that I had to rebuy it and I am addicted to it. I am sure my 2 bars of it are not going to last very long,so I am sure that I will be stocking up on it next christmas! If you haven't already checked out the 50% off sale LUSH are doing, go to LUSH really soon because soon it will be gone, and it's a really good deal!

The other products I suggest picking up from the Christmas range if you can still get your hands on them are:
  • Christmas Eve bubble bar
  • Cinders bath ballistic
  • So White bath ballistic
  • The Pink Star bubble bar(sorry can't remember the name, but it looks like a wand)
  • Candy Mountain bath ballistic i think?
  • Candy Cane soap
  • Snow Globe soap
  • Angel Cake soap
  • Snowcake soap
But overall the whole christmas range is amazing!

I am sorry to tell you that I couldn't find a link for this soap online, but go check it out in stores. It is 2.85 per 100g :)

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub

I am going to start off by saying I absolutely love this product.
Have any of you heard of the shower gel that LUSH bring out at Christmas called 'Snow Fairy' well if that scent could be a taste, it would be this. This product is available all year round, which is a bonus, as Snow Fairy is only around for the Christmas period. It tastes amazing.

The idea with this lip scrub, is that you get some prouduct and rub it onto your lips, as a kind of lip exfoliator, You then can lick this off your lips because it is edible. It tastes GORGEOUS!
This scrub has sugar in it, and that is the main exfoliant in the product. It is designed to get rid of the dead skin on your lips, so is ideal for people with sore and chapped lips like myself. Even after using this a few times I saw a huge improvement, and it lasts for ages.

Isn't it a gorgeous colour??!

After applying this lip scrub, I always apply a lip balm to my lips to lock in the moisturiser. I personally use the cherry carmex, because it works wonders of the lips, especially in winter.(if you would like a full review please comment below)

So overall, this is an amazing product. I have not tried any of the other lip scrubs, but will definately go and purchase them.
I really do recommend this product.
It can be bought in your local lush store for £4.95, or online at LUSH https://www.lush.co.uk/product/67/Bubblegum-Lip-Scrub.
